Our Inspiration.

Naturally hospitality is a female oriented industry owing to the fact that women were created to be more hospitable than their male counterparts. So over the years, women have continued to play a pivotal role in the hospitality industry. In the last decade, we have seen remarkable change and growth for women in the hospitality industry where they have proven to be as capable and qualified as men.

Sadly, despite the growth, women are still being held back from taking top management positions in the hospitality sector. This inequality is not just continent specific but rather universal.

The factors (internal and external factors) that impact women’s career path are numerous and include; their own motivation, skills, educational level, lack of support or equal opportunities. Another monster is balancing work and family especially due to perpetuation of traditional gender roles. The Hospitality industry demands long hours and a great deal of crisis management plus problem solving and this could be quite exhausting for some women coupled with different kinds of cultural norms, values and stereotypes.
